CVV2 is a new card security feature that gives you the flexibility to enable or disable Internet purchasing on your cards. This means that you can enable the purchasing function immediately prior to making an Internet transaction and can disable the function immediately upon completion of that transaction. All of this can be done at your convenience, either from home or on-the-go.

Your online shopping now is more secure by using the new One Time Password (OTP) feature, which will require you to enter a six digit OTP Received via SMS on your registered mobile number or e-mail to complete your transaction.

CVV2 Activation:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click “Service Center” and then “Change Card Status.”
  3. From the “Card Status” drop down menu, select “Open Unrestricted.”

 

  • Log in to your Alinma App For Smart Devices.
  1. Log in to your Alinma account.
  2. Click  “Cards“.
  3. Select “Cards List“.
  4. Select the card.
  5. Click “Change Card Status”.
  6. Select “Open Unrestricted”.

How to Use the One Time Password (OTP)?

No need for any registration with the One Time Password when shopping online with any participating, "Verified by VISA" merchant, you just have to do the following:
 

  1. Visit one of the websites participating in the service "Verified by VISA"
  2. After filling the required information, a window will pop-up requesting to enter six digits OTP Received via SMS on your registered mobile number via e-mail.
  3. Enter the six digits OTP Received via SMS on your registered mobile number or via e-mail.
  4. Once OTP is correctly entered, the online transaction will be authenticated and will be successfully completed.
