Aseer Governor Launches Alinma Bank Operations in the Region

HRH Prince Faisal Ibn Khalid Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Saud inaugurated Alinma Bank operations in the Aseer region of the Kingdom on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the bank’s branch in the city of Abha.

 

In a statement issued by the bank, Mr. Abdulmohsen Al-Fares, the Alinma CEO, thanked Prince Faisal for his support and lauded the bank’s efforts to grow and serves its partners (clients). "We are particularly honored by the generous patronage HRH Prince Faisal Ibn Khalid Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Saud and are thankful for the guidance of the government of King Abdullah and Crown Prince Salman, which has allowed for the growth and prosperity of the Kingdom.” said Al-Fares. “We are so pleased to continue our expansion throughout Saudi Arabia, which will permit us to continue to extend exemplary Shariah-compliant services to citizens. All bank employees should use this landmark event as motivation to work harder.”

Al-Fares also highlighted the bank’s contribution to the economy. “Since its launch, Alinma has created more than 1,400 direct jobs and more than 7,000 indirect jobs for Saudi men and women,” said Al-Fares. “It has also contributed significantly to the Saudi economy by financing and supporting numerous infrastructure projects as well as home ownership for citizens through various Shariah-compliant formulas, including Murabaha and Ijara.

Mr. Al-Fares additionally noted that the bank’s Aseer region launch emphasized Alinma’s commitment to all regions of the Kingdom and he explained that the bank would spare no effort to reach out to its partners wherever they might live through the continued expansion of its branch and ATM networks and through Alinma’s electronic services.
