As part of its ongoing efforts to empower entrepreneurs, support freelancers, and contribute to sustainable economic and social development in line with Saudi Vision 2030, Alinma Bank has launched the Kingdom’s first Freelance Card, in partnership with the Social Development Bank (SDB). This initiative is designed to help qualified SDB customers access financial support, enabling them to grow and manage their freelance businesses more effectively.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Saleh Abdullah Alzumaie, Deputy CEO of Alinma Bank, expressed pride in this strategic partnership, highlighting its role in enhancing the customer journey for recipients of SDB freelance financing. The card allows holders to benefit from interest-free loans provided and funded by the SDB, which they can use to grow their businesses and streamline operational payments. The card is linked to a current account with Alinma, giving users access to Alinma’s Business Online Banking platform and a seamless, secure banking experience.
It’s worth noting that the Social Development Bank’s Freelance Financing Program covers over 120 eligible professions, with funding of up to SAR 48,000 and flexible repayment terms of up to 24 months.
