As part of its efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and integrate initiatives between the banking and academic sectors—supporting and advancing Shariah-compliant banking—Alinma Bank has signed a scientific and academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Majmaah University. The MoU aims to enhance collaboration between the two parties across research, training, development, and academic fields, as well as to exchange expertise and knowledge in Islamic finance jurisprudence and Shariah-compliant banking. It also seeks to support Shariah research on contemporary issues, emerging jurisprudential matters, and financial transactions.
The MoU outlines various areas of cooperation, including the organization of joint workshops and scientific forums, the exchange of specialized consultations, the implementation of scientific programs and projects, collaboration in the preparation and peer review of research papers and academic studies, as well as the development, accreditation, and delivery of training programs and specialized academic content.
This memorandum reflects Alinma Bank’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness of Shariah-compliant banking, supporting scientific research, and bridging academic knowledge with practical applications in the financial sector, in a manner that serves the community and promotes innovation and development in this vital field.
