Exclusively, and for the First Time in Saudi Arabia, Alinma Bank Launches Automated Safe Deposit Box Service

In an unprecedented step, and for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alinma Bank has launched its automated safe deposit box service exclusively for its partners (clients). The service gives partners access to their valuables and other important possessions around-the-clock, without being confined to the official operating hours of the bank’s branches. This achievement is yet another example of Alinma’s effort to provide its partners with services that add convenience, comfort, privacy, high-tech features and security to the partner experience.
Alinma’s automated safe deposit box service employs the latest in modern banking technology and delivers the highest level of security and protection. A quadruple-layered authentication process that utilizes the partner’s ATM card, handprint, PIN and physical key protects against any breach of security. Safe deposit boxes are handled in a dedicated room with special security monitoring. A control panel in the room guides the partner through the authentication process without the need of assistance of bank staff.  Boxes are available around-the-clock all days of the week, and an alternative access plan has been established in the case of emergency situations.
Commenting on the launch of the new service, Mr. Abdulmohsen Al-Fares, the CEO of Alinma Bank, said that the launch sent a message to all partners confirming the bank’s dedication to the provision of modern, Shariah-compliant personal services that meet partners’ needs and exceed their expectations. Mr. Al-Fares added that the service is available to all partners who open a current account and obtain an ATM card.
The service boasts attractive service fees and multiple box sizes, which have a 25 kg capacity. Partners may also obtain multiple boxes for a single account.
In the first phase of the launch, the service will be provided at five branches –Takhassusi and Suwaidi branches in Riyadh, the two Rabwa branches in Jeddah, and the Madinah branch in the city of Madinah. More locations are also planned as the bank expands its network of branches, which has now reached 50 in number across the Kingdom in the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Al-Ahsa, Jubail, Khamis Mushayt, Arar, Najran and Hail. Conventional safe deposit box services will also be available at branches that do not feature the new technology.
Alinma also serves its partners through an array of around-the-clock electronic services including Alinma Internet (www.alinma.com), Alinma Mobile, Alinma Phone (8001208000) and a kingdom-wide network of more than 277 ATMs.
